Peer Mentors
Peer Mentors are second or third year
students who are matched with incoming freshmen in the Medical Scholars
Program. First year students can benefit from the experience of
these successful students and can feel comfortable discussing issues
that many new students face.

My name is Kwasi Osei, and I am a first year medical student
in the UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program in Biomedical Sciences. I was born in Accra, Ghana and currently
live in Loma Linda, California. I am easygoing and very relaxed. My
birthday is July 15th, so big ups to all Cancers. In the future I hope to
be somewhere in the medical field. Whatever specialty that will be, only
time will tell.

Hey everyone, my name is Justin Rausa
and I was born May 19, 1986 in Riverside, Ca. I am a 2nd year Biology
major. I
love the beach, going to concerts, eating, music, and art. But most of
all, I love to play and coach water polo. If you would like to share
traveling stories, I backpacked throughout parts of Europe the summer of
'03. One of my favorite memories of college so far are times when I ponder
life’s big questions with my fellow students.
